DESIGN AND MATERIALS
Thin, aerodynamic, and sturdy
The Edge 1040 has a new design that is 3 mm longer for a more streamlined, aerodynamic shape.
Its 130g composite casing includes a much more durable ¼ turn aluminium attachment to withstand repeated vibrations from rough ground like with mountain or gravel biking.
Improved user interface
Completely redesigned user interface to ensure a smoother, more intuitive access to data and features. It is structured around widgets and a single main menu.
The device's configuration and connected functions have also been simplified (plus the double BT pairing, for example)
LARGE COLOUR TOUCH SCREEN
High-definition colour screen, identical to the one on the Edge 1040.
It is 3.5" / 8.89 cm diagonal (282 x 470 pixels) and is transflective and capacitive. So it adapts perfectly to the outdoor lighting based on brightness conditions, and the touch screen works perfectly with gloves or in the rain.

Multi-band GPS
This new function unique to Garmin is a high-performing technology that provides unequalled precision in GPS positioning. Thanks to its constant recalculation of position on the 2 frequencies of each GNSS multi-band compatible network, this technology identifies and effectively eliminates poor positioning data, thus offering much greater precision, particularly in canyons, cities, and challenging alpine environments.
High-performance built-in sensors

Enter your training goals, off-days, activity level, and available sensors to get a customised free workout plan directly from the Edge. This workout plan can be connected to a specific race (Gran Fondo, Cyclosportives, Stage of the Tour de France, etc.), and thus provide an adapted plan over 30 weeks or more, including all phases of preparation (general basic preparation, specific work, and honing skills).

When a workout is missed, the focus is on priority workouts rather than offering a lower-priority workout planned for that day. In the plan, these workouts are marked "key" or "long"

Before the ride: the smart algorithm uses elevation data built into the map, as well as user and bike data, to display a distance indicator in itinerary planning.
During the ride: indicates a dynamic range based on real electric bike battery consumption, with dedicated user alerts in case of battery level issues.

Free delivery (minimum order €20) in the Republic of Ireland, UK and Northern Ireland for all orders placed on our website.
Exceptions to the above rule are heavy goods, weighing 20kg or above. The shipping cost for heavy goods is €20.
