Bike Hire Terms & Conditions

This Bicycle Hire Terms and Conditions Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Chain Driven Cycles Ltd ("Company") and the individual or entity hiring the bicycle ("Hirer"). By hiring a bicycle from the Company, the Hirer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein:

1. Bicycle Hire

1.1 The Company agrees to hire the bicycle to the Hirer for the agreed-upon period, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

1.2 The Hirer acknowledges that they are hiring the bicycle in its current condition and agrees to return it in the same condition, subject to fair wear and tear. 

1.3 The Hirer agrees to use the bicycle solely for personal recreational purposes and not for any commercial or illegal activities.

2. Rental Period

2.1 The rental period shall commence upon the collection of the bicycle by the Hirer and shall continue for the agreed-upon duration.

2.2 The Hirer agrees to return the bicycle to the Company at the end of the rental period. Failure to do so may result in additional charges as outlined in this Agreement.

3. Rental Charges, Payment and Cancellations

3.1 The Hirer agrees to pay the rental charges as agreed upon with the Company at the time of booking or rental.

3.2 Payment for the rental charges shall be made in full at the beginning of the rental period, unless otherwise agreed upon with the Company.

3.3 Cancellations made within 24hrs of the booking will not be refunded. To make a cancellation, contact Chain Driven Cycles by phone +353719129008 or by email info@chaindrivencycles.com. There is no refund for returning your bike or ending your cycling early or arriving late. We do not make any refunds for any unused portion of the Bike Hire period.

4. Public Liability Insurance

4.1 The Company maintains public liability insurance coverage for the bicycles rented out to the Hirer. This insurance covers damages or injuries to third parties caused by the use of the bicycle during the rental period.

4.2 The Hirer acknowledges and understands that the public liability insurance coverage does not extend to damages to the bicycle itself or injuries sustained by the Hirer during the rental period.

4.3 In the event of an accident resulting in damages or injuries to third parties, the Hirer agrees to cooperate fully with the Company and its insurance provider in the investigation and resolution of the claim.

5. Condition of Bicycle

5.1 The Hirer acknowledges that they have inspected the bicycle prior to rental and accepts it in its current condition.

5.2 The Hirer agrees to return the bicycle to the Company in the same condition as it was received, subject to fair wear and tear.

5.3 The Hirer shall be responsible for any damages caused to the bicycle during the rental period, excluding normal wear and tear.

6. Responsibilities of the Hirer

6.1 The Hirer agrees to use the bicycle in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

6.2 The Hirer agrees to properly secure the bicycle when not in use and to protect it from theft or damage.

6.3 The Hirer agrees to notify the Company immediately in the event of any accidents, theft, or damage to the bicycle during the rental period.

7. Liability

7.1 The Company shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses suffered by the Hirer arising out of or in connection with the use of the bicycle.

7.2 The Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the use of the bicycle by the Hirer.

8. Termination

8.1 The Company reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and reclaim possession of the bicycle at any time if the Hirer breaches any of the terms and conditions herein.

9. Governing Law

9.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Entire Agreement

10.1 This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to such subject matter.

The parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
